In 2005, Curumin, the Brazilian musician, artist, and songwriter born Luciano Nakata Albuquerque, re-introduced his debut album, Achados E Perdidos (Shed and Located), on Quannum Initiatives label Solesides. For the Hip Hop heads out there, you know, Quannum was a Bay Location Hip Hop collective, locals that built phat planet-hopping beats. Curumin is an accumulation of Brazilian musical record, from Samba ala Antonio Carlos Jobim to funk, present-day dwelling, and Hip Hop. All layered and oozing percussions dreamy universe of physique-shaking rhythms, these tunes need to be remembered, reintroduced, and replayed as greatly as probable.

As this 2005 San Francisco Weekly posting, “Quannum Mechanics: The incredibly legitimate tale of the Bay Area’s greatest hip hop achievements story,” defined, “The seeds of the Quannum family tree were planted in the sleepy city of Davis (population 50,000).
