ST. MARYS – A people art portray depicting a wagon incident in the early days of St. Marys is getting an upgrade. 
The Auglaize County Historical Modern society is conserving the painting that was designed some time following the Civil War. 
The historical society all through the pandemic organized for a conservation expert to evaluate its assortment of artifacts and properties. The specialist also issued recommendations for ideal tactics.
One of all those recommendations was to conserve a folk artwork painting at the Daniel F. Mooney Museum in St. Marys. The image depicts a wagon incident and individuals strolling through h2o. It also shows a nearby composition labeled Dieker Dwelling.
The Dieker Household was 1 of the very early motels in St. Marys, according to historic modern society administrator Rachel Barber.
Not much is recognised about the portray which Barber stated was donated to the museum together with a portray by Richard Veenfliet.
