Temperance artist giving still life demonstration in Monroe

Susan Grant is a lifelong artist who designed an etched window for Monroe County Local community College.

Tomorrow, the Temperance artist will share some of her wisdom at a nevertheless existence drawing demonstration, sponsored by the Monroe Artwork League.

Grant will guide the system at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Way building, 216 N. Monroe St. Admission is absolutely free the general public is welcome.

Significant faculty pupils through grown ups who have some drawing encounter are encouraged to go to. Contributors really should deliver a sketchbook, assorted pencils, erasers and a ruler.

“Join us for a fun evening, finding out and developing artwork,” Eve Weatherholt, president of the Monroe Art League, reported. “Susan was the first receiver of the Frances A. Maedel Art Scholarship at MCCC. She is an extremely talented young artist who will be sharing techniques she takes advantage of when creating her personal artwork.”

Weatherholt and the Monroe Artwork League are hoping to improve membership in the league this 12 months. In January, the business hosted a well-attended demonstration by local artist David Larkins.

“I am excited for this future calendar year in the Monroe Artwork League. We have built a renewed exertion to reserve as numerous demonstrators as we can in the coming calendar year, and I am happy to present again in the upcoming,” Grant mentioned.
